DAY 1    HWANGE EAST

A mid morning transfer from Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park to connect with the safari arriving from Chizarira at midday.

Hwange is the premier park in Zimbabwe and has a wealth of wildlife. The elephant population is world renowned, there is no walking in the eastern Main Camp side of the park but the animals are habituated to vehicles and game viewing and photographic opportunities are excellent.

The first night is spent in an exclusive campsite on the edge of a pan. The country side is flat and covered by hardwood forests intersected by drainage line s and water holes.

DAY 2-3    HWANGE WEST

On the second day the safari drives through the north west section of the park to the Sinamatella area, this is country and home to the Rhino protection area.

Camping is in the well sited exclusive locations. Mornings and evenings are spent at waterholes game viewing and the days are spent tracking the elusive Black Rhino. This area is well known for it's Rhino population.

Although Hwange is a more travelled destination the game is among the best in the country.

DAY 4    HWANGE TO ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK

We spend the day driving through the Matetsi wildlife area to the Zambezi National Park.

The park is situated up stream from Victoria Falls for 40kms along the banks of the Zambezi River. This spectacular river alone is worth a visit and is complimented by a diverse wildlife population that is varied and easy to approach.

Another glorious sunset, watched from the banks of the mighty Zambezi River.

The camp is on the banks of the river and well sited to take in the spectacular dawns. Walking is done in the south of the park along spring fed drainage lines that attract numerous species. It is not uncommon to have elephant herds pass through the camp to drink and bathe in the river.

DAY 5    ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK AND    VICTORIA FALLS

First thing in the morning we set off on dawn drives and walks. After breakfast the safari takes a leisurely drive back to Victoria Falls with another short walk to arrive back in time for lunch at your hotel.

The safari officially ends at midday. We can break the safari into two sections as not everyone has time to do the entire safari. We do however suggest that to get a complete African experience both sections should be incorporated into you safari should time permit.
